The Mississippi Senate on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, honored the East Rankin Academy “Lady Patriots” basketball team and coach Brooke Rhodes with presentation of Senate Resolution 57,  for winning the 2024 MAIS overall tournament championship on February 29, 2024, with a 41-39 victory over 2023 overall champion Madison-Ridgeland Academy. The 2024 East Rankin Academy "Lady Patriots" roster is:  Addison Brown, Presley Thompson, Holly Jackson, Hannah Jackson, Addison Derrick, Ansley Miller, Liz Stevens, Elizabeth Thrash, Hayden Faulkner, Krissi Joe Simmons, Brynlee Davis, and Audrey Brown; Head Coach Brooke Rhodes; and Assistant Coaches Keith Rhodes and Austin Banes. Standing with the team from left are: Senate President Pro Tempore Dean Kirby, Representative Celeste Hurst, and (right), Senator Brian Rhodes and Senator Tyler McCaughn.
 

 

The Mississippi Senate on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, honored the East Rankin Academy “Lady Patriots,” girls cross country team and Coach David Hopper with presentation of Senate Resolution 56, for winning their third consecutive MAIS Class 5A State Championship. The championship team roster is Jewel Baker, Chandler Hunt, Haley Headrick, Kate Bryant, Emma Raines, Leah Collipp, Emily Williams, Jensen Baker, Arin Hawk, Savannah Smithers, Audrey Mayatte, Rachel Smith, Lydia Collipp, Audrey Hawk, Marlee Rakinic, Kylee Holifield, Katie Simpson, Lane Riemann, Addison Vowell, Abby Raines, and Katie Lee Tadlock, and Coach David Hopper. Standing with the team are: (left), Senate President Pro Tempore Dean Kirby, Representative Celeste Hurst, and (right), Senator Brian Rhodes and Senator Tyler McCaughn.

 

The East Rankin Academy “Lady Patriots” basketball team and coach Brooke Rhodes, girls’ cross-country team and Coach David Hopper, and the school’s Shooting Sports Team and Coach Vince Bynum, gathered for a group photo outside the Capitol on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, after being honored by the Mississippi Senate. 

 

The Mississippi Senate on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, honored the East Rankin Academy Shooting Sports Team and Coach Vince Bynum with presentation of Senate Resolution 55, for winning their fifth consecutive Mississippi Scholastic Shooting Program State Championship.
