Congratulations to Pelahatchie High School (PHS) weightlifting team members Erin Winder and Korbin Boydstun, who each won the 2A State Powerlifting Championship in their weight class. These two students were recognized at a recent Rankin County School District board meeting.
PHS would also like to congratulate Senior Melanie Ball. She recently placed 1st in the USPA Nationals junior division age 17-19 at Mecca 5 in Tupelo, MS. She set state records for squat (215 lbs), bench press (88 lbs), and deadlift (260lbs).
