David Gray recently won the election to fill the position of retiring alderman Margie Warren. Gray is a Pelahatchie businessman who owns and operates Deep South Tactical across the street from Town Hall. He has manufactured precision bolt action rifles for fifteen years. He also manages American Spirits on the west side of town for his longtime friend Chris Watkins.

“I ran [for my first elected office] on my reputation as a business owner and my relationships within the community,” Gray said. “With Margie Warren retiring as Ward Three alderman after forty years, I know I have some big shoes to fill. She was instrumental in my campaign, and I’ve appreciated her advice and direction.”

Gray was raised in Morton and is a graduate of Morton High School Class of 1994.

He and his wife, LeShea Lewis Gray, have been married for 25 years and have lived in Pelahatchie for 15. LeShea is employed with Pelahatchie Dental Clinic.

They have two children. Their daughter, Landri Gray, is 22 years old and a graduate of East Rankin Academy (ERA). She is employed with St. Dominic Hospital as a radiologic technologist. Their son Camp is six years old and is a first grader at ERA.
