Wednesday, October 29th – Children’s Department at Lakeside Presbyterian Church located at 2070 Spillway Road, Brandon, MS, will gather on Wednesday, October 29th, for the first Shoebox Packing Party, a meaningful event dedicated to supporting Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child ministry, which delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children around the world.
This year, the Shoebox Packing Party offers a fun, family-friendly experience with activities like packing items such as school supplies, personal care products, toys, and notes for shoeboxes. This event will also help the children’s department incorporate missions’ interests.
This year, volunteers throughout Central Mississippi aim to collect over 20,000 shoeboxes as part of the worldwide effort to reach 12 million children. Each shoebox is more than just a gift—it’s a chance to share the Gospel and bring happiness to a child who might have never received a present before.
