The Pelahatchie Farmer’s Market is excited to have William Hawkins of Throwing Hands Pottery to be a returning vendor. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, William discovered his love for pottery during a class he took his freshman year of high school in Lake Oswego, Oregon. What started as a simple class turned into a lifelong passion. He loves the process of taking a simple lump of clay and transforming it into something beautiful, functional, and artistic. William lives in Ridgeland and has been married to his wife Myrtis for 14 years, and they have two daughters. When he’s not creating pottery, William also serves the community through his work in code enforcement in Madison County. Be sure to stop by William’s booth at the market to see his handcrafted pottery and support a talented local artisan.
