Rotary is a global network of civic organizations dedicated to service. For many members, though, it is much more than that: it is a family of community leaders who believe that serving others can truly make a difference. For Misty Edwards, the 25-year financial industry veteran who has been named the 2026-27 President of the Rankin County Rotary Club, “Service Beyond Self” is personal.

Edwards has dedicated her career not just to lending, but to becoming a comprehensive resource for her clients.

Edwards’ was born and raised in Pelahatchie where she and her husband, Brian, are raising their three children: Camden, who is pursuing a nursing degree at Mississippi University for Women; Kyndal, studying interior design and business at Holmes Community College; and Dawson, a tenth-grader at Pelahatchie High School.

A Life Member of the Junior Auxiliary of Rankin County, she also sits on the board of Pelahatchie’s Parent Teacher Outreach—each role a reflection of her.

Edwards holds an MBA from Belhaven College and recently graduated from the Mississippi School of Banking. She is currently enrolled at the prestigious LSU School of Banking. Early in her career, she was selected for a competitive management training program that exposed her to all facets of banking.

Edwards is active at Cross Roads Baptist Church, where she is involved with Mexico mission work with Senda de Vida centers around the humanitarian and faith-based refugee camps in border cities like Reynosa, Mexico, providing shelter, food, and support to migrants.

As Edwards begins her year as president, she invites all interested in attending the Rankin County Rotary Club. The contact details and meeting information for the Rankin County Rotary Club include phone number (601) 624-9231, mailing address P.O. Box 549, Brandon, MS 39043, and weekly Thursday noon meetings at Genna Benna’s.
