Cross Roads Baptist Church (CRBC) has been offering Griefshare since 2014 to help those grieving a loss find hope and healing after the death of a loved one.
The 13-week program, starting September 2, is now on a new day. It will now be held on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the church at 104 Crossroads Road, south of Pelahatchie. Childcare will be provided. Dinner is also available at 5:30 p.m. for eight dollars.
The weekly grief support group welcomes anyone in the area that has lost a loved one. Each week the group views a video on a grief-related topic that participants face. The videos offer advice from counselors, pastors, and people who have been through grief on how to handle grief’s challenges. After that, the group will discuss the video content and how it applies to each person’s life.
Jo Ann Brown, Griefshare Church Coordinator, said, “Our Griefshare group gives support and lets each person grieving know that they are not alone. The support group walks with each person on their personal grief journey.”
