The Pelahatchie Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season Friday night, falling 26-18 against Enterprise.
Pelahatchie entered the game coming off a 27-19 victory over Pisgah in its season opener. This time the Chiefs found themselves on the opposite side of an eight-point game as Enterprise came away with the win.
Enterprise was led on the ground by Steeler Lambert, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Darren Kennedy also finished with 106 receiving yards and a touchdown for the Yellowjackets.
The loss moves Pelahatchie to 1-1 on the season. The Chiefs entered the year looking to build off a five-win season and playoff appearance in 2025.
Pelahatchie will now play its first road game of the season Friday night when the Chiefs travel to Clarkdale.
After splitting their first two games, the Chiefs will look to bounce back and move back above .500 before continuing through the non-district portion of their schedule.
