The Pelahatchie Chiefs had a difficult two-week stretch, falling to Clarkdale and Richland.
Pelahatchie was shut out 14-0 by Clarkdale on Sept. 11. The Chiefs entered the game looking to bounce back from a loss to Enterprise but were unable to get their offense going.
Pelahatchie returned to action Friday night against Richland, but the Rangers pulled away for a 48-12 victory. The loss dropped the Chiefs to 1-3 after opening the season with a win over Pisgah.
After scoring 27 points in its season-opening victory, Pelahatchie has now lost three consecutive games.
The Chiefs will return home Friday night to face Sebastopol. Both teams enter the matchup 1-3, giving Pelahatchie an opportunity to end its losing streak before moving deeper into the season.
